Brij Bhushan, Venture Partner, Prime Venture Partners, said, “Joining Prime Venture Partners feels like coming full circle. As a VC turned founder, I’ve realized that early-stage startups need more than just investment—they need a true team member. The Prime team, full of ex-entrepreneurs, has exemplified this over the past decade, and I resonated deeply with their culture. After nearly a decade as a founder, I’m excited to return to VC, where I can help founders navigate their journeys, leveraging my experiences alongside a team that truly understands what it takes to get a company off the ground.”

Amit Somani, Managing Partner at Prime Venture Partners, said, "Brij Bhushan brings a unique combination of strategic thinking, execution excellence, and a long-term mindset essential for company building. We believe he is a perfect addition to our leadership team."

Sanjay Swamy, co-founder and Managing Partner at Prime said, “We’re excited to expand the leadership team with Brij Bhushan’s addition and plan for the next decade of growth in the Indian VC and Tech Start-up ecosystem. Nation’s startup ecosystem has now matured to the point where companies can go through the various stages of establishing Product Market Fit, Early Growth, Late-Stage funding, and eventually IPO and post listing journey in a predictable manner.

With plans to strengthen the company's investment and portfolio management capabilities, the company has also promoted Gaurav Ranjan to Principal - Investments. An IIM Calcutta alumnus, Gaurav has been with PrimeVP for six years, starting as an associate, and most recently as Vice President. He has sourced and, co-evaluated more than 2,000 startups, work closely with over a dozen of Prime’s early-stage startups, including Gallabox, OTO, Capital, Poshn and HitWicket, across sectors such as FinTech, SaaS, and Gaming.

Gaurav Ranjan, Principal - Investments, Prime Venture Partners, said, "PrimeVP has institutionalized the talent shaping process both internally and externally by investing in and shouldering founders across the ecosystem. I am excited to take on a role that allows me to contribute to building exceptional companies, solving real problems, and creating sustainable value in India’s startup ecosystem."

Prime Venture Partners’ recent expansions and promotions are designed to further strengthen its leadership team’s investment capabilities and reinforce its long-term commitment to India’s startup ecosystem as a leading entrepreneur/operator-led early-stage VC.
